The 703-A crews arrived at
Philmont Base Camp July 2, 2006.

They were running about an
hour late. Six of the eight crews were assigned wall tents for the
night, the other two set up trail tents in the meadow.

All crews made it through
check-in on July 3 and headed out on the trail July 4. At this time,
no news is good news! They will have no opportunity to
communicate until they return to base camp July 14. |

The busses arrived a bit early
-- as the crews began breakfast. |
|
|
Following breakfast, everyone
got loaded and the busses departed Philmont for the return trip to Austin. |
|
|
Departure was at 6:20 am (MDT)
-- 10 minutes ahead of schedule. |
|
