Daily Contingent Trek Schedule
Philmont Treks are 12 days in duration. During the trek, participants
and the Philmont staff refer to the "day" of the trek, not the actual
date or day of the week.
For the purpose of communication, we are referring to our travel days as
"Day 0" and "Day 13". Days 1 through 12 are the days
actually at Philmont.

to Philmont, lunch & dinner enroute.

Check-in
at Philmont.

Spend
night in Tent City.

After Contingent Advisor completes financial check-in, check-in at
Registration with Crew's Philmont Ranger.

Crew's Philmont Ranger, get crew photo, go to medical recheck, logistics, services,
etc.

in Philmont dining hall.

Possible
equipment shakedown.

Tour
Philmont museums.
-
Religious
services.
-
Opening
Philmont campfire program.
-
Spend
night in Tent City.

(possibly lunch) in Philmont dining hall.

Complete any check-in activities not done on Day 1.

Depart
Camping HQ for Philmont backcountry via bus.

First
night in backcountry.

Crew's
Philmont Ranger provides training.

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 |

Crew's Philmont Ranger continues training on
Day 3 and Day 4 then departs after
breakfast Day 4.

Backpack
between backcountry campsites.

Participate in program activities.

from backcountry to Camping HQ (via bus or hike in via the Tooth of
Time).

Check
out at Welcome Center, Logistics, Registration.

Return Philmont equipment to Services.
