Philmont Trail Food Sale The Philmont Commissary generally sells leftover trail meals. Many crews purchase these for use during shakedown activities. They provide the crew the ability to practice preparation of PhilFood and an opportunity to get a feel for the type food that will be provided. Below is information received from the Philmont Commissary. Contact the Commissary directly to discuss the availability at the present time.

Philmont Surplus Trail Meals Now On Sale
From now through December, you may purchase any quantity of meals by emailing Barry Harper to obtain a 2011 ordering package. Ordering information also is available on the Philmont website. Please note: Since there is a limited supply of meals this year, there are no discounts being offered for volume. We encourage you to look at your needs for the next 12 months and place your order quickly—we fully expect to sell out well before Dec. 31. We do not expect to have any meals to offer for sale in the spring of 2011.

At
the end of each summer, Philmont is left with an assortment of
undistributed trail meals. If your council or troop is
looking for ready-to-eat meals, these can be purchased at cost
from the Philmont commissary.
